About The Course

The Private Helicopter Pilot License PPL(H) is the basic license for starting a career as a professional helicopter pilot. Although it is a basic step in a professional aviation career, the license authorizes the holder to fly only for private purposes, meaning it is not possible to fly for remuneration. However, with the Private Pilot License, gaining flight experience and appropriate theory knowledge, you can become an instructor at a flight school for training private helicopter pilots.

Meteorology

Communications

Principles of flight

Operational procedures

Flight performance and planning

Aircraft general knowledge

Navigation and radionavigation

Start of PPL (A) PPL (H) Training Course

The training session starts in Tbilisi after completing following steps: ❖ Aviation Medical Examination that needs to be passed based on Class 2 EASA Medical Standard (download the standard) which takes 1 day ❖ Candidates will need to take 1 day course introduction training.

100 hours / two weeks will be in classroom lessons will take place in Tbilisi in front of the computer with the assistance of Instructors or can be completed eLearning software by study and testing.

ICAO AVIATION ENGLISH exam preparatory course when required

The aim of the course is to prepare students for success on the ICAO English Exam. Success in this case means achieving a Level 4 or above on the exam to become a safe, efficient and effective communicator, in a worldwide industry where safe, efficient and effective communication is essential and highly valued.

The English exam preparatory courses can take place before, during or after the training if students can effectively communicate and read in English.

 

ICAO English examination

English examinations can be conducted at the end of the course just before certification as students will be enhancing their English Level proficiency during studying and communication with instructors and peers.

PPL (H) Training Course Entry Requirements

Be at least 16 years old to start the training. Applicants for a PPL(H) license must be at least 17 years old.

Have basic education

Hold a valid Aviation Medical Certificate Class 1 or Class 2

Sufficient level of English before start of training mut before completion of Credits for previous experience

Credits for previous experience:: Applicants for the PPL(H) license, who already hold a pilot license in another category of aircraft, excluding balloons, can credit 10% of their total flight time as Pilot in Command (PIC), up to a maximum of 6 hours. Holders of the LAPL(H) license can credit their entire LAPL training.

1. Administrative Fee on Course Registration - 409 Euros

2. PPL (H) Theory Course Online 100 hours - 987 Euros (or in Tbilisi Instructors Led Classroom Training with PC/Software - 2,987 Euros)

3. PPL (H) Flight Training on Guimbal Helicopter G2 Cabri - 23,155 Euros

Following you can complete on your own or we can provide support:

4. EASA Aviation Medical Exam in Tbilisi - 160 Euros

5. English Level Examination (minimum Level 4 is required) - 170 Euros (or it is free of charge if taken with 25 hours prep-course))

6. English prep-course 25 hours online - 690 Euros (or 1290 Euros with physical attendance in Tbilisi, Georgia and includes Exam fee)

7. Radiotelephony operator exam - 198 Euros

8. Assistance with Travel and Accommodation is provided upon request - hotels from 50 to 150 Euros

9. Visa Assistance is provided upon request with an invitation letter of invitation and support.

PPL (H) Flight training

Will be conducted in Georgia at 1 of these 6 Airports depending on weather and flight tasking.
